My First Beauty Box from Japan!
Yes! I have received my NoMakeNoLife (NMNL) beauty box for March volume! All the items follow the theme of the month: Sakura. Which is perfect because March is also the Sakura month in Japan! Well, since I can't spend the beautiful month of March in Japan to watch the Sakura blossoms, I shall just get my sakura fix from Japan flown straight to my doorstep.
Can't wait to see what I got. Here are my first impressions...
First thing first, since this is my first time subscribing to the service, let me share my experience thus far. All plus points so far.
Prompt Delivery
On the website, it states that we can expect to receive our beauty subscription box between 20th and 28th of the following month. Indeed, when I knocked off from work on 22nd, there my box was waiting for me in my bedroom! Well, I found out from my parents later that the postman didn't actually deliver the package straight to my door. Instead, my parents found the whole box squeezed into my tiny mailbox so the box itself was damaged and slightly ripped apart when they took it out. But good thing it was just the box. The items inside were all intact.
Responsive Customer Service
I registered using my work email instead of my personal email when I was entering my personal details while confirming the subscription online through their website. Well, actually it was autocorrect's fault and I didn't check. So I received all the payment confirmation and mailers in my work email that month through! I immediately replied through one of the accounts confirmation emails to request for them to change my email since I could not do it myself through the account portal. I got a reply a day later saying that it was changed. So, that was a good start.
Try Japan Beauty Products
Actually I have never batted an eyelid or wavered that much at another subscription box as I have for NoMakeNoLife beauty box, because all the items are beauty products from Japan brands! As if Hello Kitty was not kawaii enough by itself, paste that kitty on a makeup cushion cover and that will make me scream and pull out all my dollar notes! I know I wouldn't subscribe for a Korean beauty box because I already bought the whole store back in Korea, but it's a different case for me concerning Japanese beauty products. And so, hey, it seems like a good concept so let's go with it.
Time to Unbox
I totally agree with the philosophy: no makeup, no life. I reckon that's what they are gettin' at?
So, now that I have my monthly fix, let's see whether this will get me through the month of March!
