Japan Gensen Labo Hydrating Sea Kelp Toner Review
I have seen Sasa selling this Japanese brand before, and it is an affordable brand that I have bought to try before when it's on sale (I saw that it retails at about 980Yen online at normal retail price).The Sea Kelp toner (180ml) is suitable for those with dry skin and has brightening effects.
I don't see much reviews or promotions on this product, but it worked alright on my skin. The toner gets absorbed pretty quickly and does not leave a sticky surface which I really like.
One thing that surprised me was the thickness of the product.
It is not the watery consistency that one would expect after using other brands of toner. Instead, it is the thicker and gooey serum kind, so it does not get absorbed well into my cotton pad. So I pour a little on my palms and rub a thin layer over my face and forgo the cotton pad.
The toner has kelp extract from Hokkaido, so that probably explains the thick consistency. But it is very nice to use, because I don't have to pour a lot to cover my whole face and it gets absorbed very fast.
I use it mostly for my night time routine, after washing my face and removing my makeup.
