Wash Your Face with A Whip Cream Pillow - Japan Senka by Shiseido Perfect Whip & Face Wash Review

Japan Senka by Shiseido Perfect Whip & Face Wash Review

After a week's use of the face wash, I can safely say that it is the best product out of April's box.

Senka is Shiseido's more affordable line of series which can be found easily in the Watsons of Japan. But I heard that it is extremely popular in Japan and is widely used.

This reminds me of my mother, who likes to buy assorted brands from Watsons or Guardian (small convenience stores selling toiletries & other assorted items) so we can switch between the different brands of cleansers. So, I'm definitely passing this to her.

Anyway, with 120g, the big tube retails at about SGD$8 or USD$5.60.

This face wash also came with a sample for us to try. It is the Senka's Perfect Essence Silky Moisture. It is supposed to contain natural silk essence to make skin smooth and silky, according to the marketing team.

I had 3-4 uses with the sample packet. It was absorbed quickly after application.

When I first saw it and read the little pamphlet, what came to mind was Evita's Beauty Whip Soap by Kanebo. The most beautiful foam cleanser I have ever seen in my life. At first, I mistook it for shaving cream. But no, it's a cleanser and ladies can use it! So, what am I waiting for?!

Later I found out that actually the team at Kanebo were aiming at the older ladies. But who knew, it sure caught on fire quickly. But back to Shiseido and their whip cream facial cleanser.

The pamphlet showing the huge whip cream pillow is making me so tempted to do the same with my face wash.

But after using it, the whip cream does not 'whip' up into a foam pillow. As in, it is not so foamy as I had expected. But rather, it is really like a whip cream consistency. Just about 2cm worth of blob will form a nice, thick lather to cover the whole face.

I feel that the face cream is pretty gentle on the face and is not drying. I really liked using it.

Senka also have the Perfect Whip cleanser called Airy Touch, where you can pump the foam out instead for those who have oily skin.

Now that I have Shiseido's Senka in my bathroom, I really hope that I can try Kanebo's Suisai's super hot-selling Beauty Clear Powder in May's box!

I have to say, Japan really leads in the beauty business with all its unique innovations! The Beauty Clear Powder is a powder that will turn into a lather for cleansing the face. I really need to try all of them!
