Japan Ichikami Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner Travel Set Review
After using the travel set from March's SAKURA themed NoMakeNoLife (NMNL) beauty box, here are my reviews!
I have just reviewed the Choosy Gold Pearl & Peach lip masks. Now I am moving on to my hair!
What I like the most is the sweet, angelic scent of the shampoo & conditioner. The scent lasts for the entire day and nothing beats feeling good from smelling good even after a whole day of work. This can well substitute my hair perfume and dry shampoo routine.
Since it is the Sakura theme, could it be the scent of Sakura blossoms? Instructions are in Japanese but I can't read them. But I see the flower signs and peach symbol!
Next, I also like that it is silicon & sulfate free so it is not so harsh on my hair. Those soaps which has heavy lather or foam are actually more damaging because they are like using detergents on your hair. Especially since I already have dry and frizzy hair, I need my shampoo to help me, not damage my hair further. This shampoo has light lather.
So, I liked that I could switch to this shampoo & conditioner at times when I bathed twice in a day due to work and gym. Especially since it is bite sized, being a travel set & all, I could easily load it into my gym bag for the quick after-gym showers.
I can't tell the effects from the shampoo. But it is definitely not as drying as other home brands shampoos I have used before. Effects from the conditioner however, is obvious as my hair is smooth and bouncy after that. It lasts for about a day for me.
The Ichikami brand has been around for years but I have not tried it even once! What a treat to be able to finally try this. I have been using Korean brands because they have a nice scent too. But now I think the Japanese do it just as well.
I hope to try the rice bran series for dry and damaged hair... Maybe in future beauty boxes, they will let us try Ichikami's treatment & treatment water as well.
