Presenting Japanese Beauty Box Kira Kira Crate!
Kira Kira crate is a Japanese beauty subscription box that delivers 6-8 full-sized quality Japanese beauty products monthly. I have subscribed to their monthly subscription and my Kira Kira April beauty box is my first Kira Kira Japanese beauty box! I am always so excited to see what top Japanese beauty skincare products I will get.
For those who are seriously into Japanese beauty products, I would totally recommend you trying out Kira Kira beauty subscription box or No Make No Life NMNL beauty subscription box. My first No Make No Life NMNL beauty box was March's box and I was wowed by the Sakura themed Japanese beauty products that I received.
After unboxing my April's beauty box, I have started using these amazing Japanese beauty products immediately since. I always make it a point to use the Japanese beauty products for at least a week in order to have the better feedback. So here are my reviews after a week plus of using them!
I got the Japanese Jewelry Body Scrub in Diamond!
Under the body category, you will receive the body scrub in either Diamond or Sapphire series. In my Japan Kira Kira April beauty box, I received the Japanese Jewelry body sugar scrub in the Diamond series.
I don't know what's the difference between these two since I only received one. But the Kira Kira booklet says that they contain the unique gem powder. But since both are named after precious gemstones, it might be that I got diamond gem powder?! Well, what a great way to get a girl excited about exfoliating.
Why I really liked this Body Scrub
1. It smells so damn good
I love the sugary scent. I know there are people who do not like scents or are sensitive to scented beauty products. But scented Japanese beauty products are just heavenly, whether it is their Ichikami hair products, or the Sakura Harenohi hand lotions or hand soap! Absolute love.
Imagine when you are in the bath and smelling really good after a long day at work. That's how I felt. I can smell the sugary scent when I squeeze the product out into the bottle but don't expect to smell like sugar after using the body. Once it is rinsed off, it does not leave a scent on the body. Only when you are using it.
People who like vanilla scents in their perfume will probably like the scent. It is really, just a really sugary smell, like burnt caramel.
2. Sugar scrub exfoliates my dull skin & gives me smoother skin
Body scrubs are such a luxury for me, to be honest. We don't need to use them on a daily basis, but just like how we need facials occasionally for our face, body scrubs are also an essential part of our beauty skincare routine for the body.
So if you see your skin getting rough patches or acne, it is time to exfoliate! I don't get back acne that often, but when I do, I know I have to do some body scrub.
So far, I only have used pretty pink Sakura Japanese bath salts that I got in my No Make No Life March beauty subscription box but that dissolves in water. So now I use the body scrub once or twice a week, or anytime I remember to use it.
I use more body scrub on my elbows and ankles, and places with rough skin or darker skin.
3. Sugar scrub is gentle and better than salt scrub
I used to not use body scrub because it could be quite painful when scrubbing my body with those coarse bits of salts. But using this sugar scrub is not painful. The sugar dissolves after rubbing it on the skin. There is some heat from rubbing, which I feel is like what I feel when I use those "burn fats off your thighs and tummy" kind of gel. I hope it does burns off my fats too. *wishful thinking*.
4. It is like a DIY spa & massage session
Lastly, the benefits of a body scrub is not just for exfoliating dead skin to remove dull skin & get smoother skin. The other benefits are better blood circulation when you massage the body during the body scrub and better absorption of body moisturiser that you apply after the bath. So, I always take advantage of that and apply body lotion directly after bathing while the skin can absorb better after the body scrub.
If you liked this, you will also like...
My guess is, if you really liked this product, you are the kind of person who likes using Japanese beauty products like Ichikami Japanese shampoo & conditioner set that are good products that smell too good.
